Student Loan Plan 4


The repayment plan for Scottish students who took out their first student loan on or after 1 September 1998 under the Student Awards Agency for Scotland. Repayments are 9% of income above the Plan 4 threshold (£31,395 for 2025/26), which is the highest of all undergraduate plans. The loan is written off after 30 years or when the borrower reaches the age of 65, whichever comes first.
